Will Apple Make a Mobile Phone?

Speculations may be coming to an end. Forbes published an article indicating that Apple has signed a contract with a Taiwanese technology manufacturer for 12 million mobile phones. In addition, the article says that Apple contracted with the same company to produce 15-inch MacBooks. This is some interesting news. I’d love to see Apple make a mobile phone. Apple Faces some Challenges at a Time of Extreme Growth

Not all is sunshine and roses for Cupertino’s Apple Inc. and its customers. In the recent years Apple has experienced tremendous growth. Five years ago Apple introduced iPod, which was an innovation in the digital music market. The iPod became so popular that it put Apple back on the technological map. Fueled by wide range popularity of the iPod, Apple’s computer hardware business began to grow as well. Apple has seen the most growth in the last year as they have moved all of their computer product lines to Intel’s Core Duo processor chips.

iPod Airline Integration

iPod NanosApple announced today that they are working with airline companies to provide in-flight iPod integration.  The airlines involved are Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United.  These airlines will provide iPod connectors, which will allow iPod users to power their iPod and view video content on the displays in the back of the seat.  iPod is a great travel companion for many people, and now it is being officially integrated into these six airlines.  Apple has also indicated that they are working on making this integration a reality on more airlines in the near future.  This current integration will begin to take effect mid-2007.  Next time you fly on Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM or United look for the iPod connector.  The full press release can be found on Apple.com.  Check it out for additional details.
